What is Underfloor Heating System
While underfloor heating systems have been in use for many years, they have gained significant momentum recently. In numerous parts of the world, including Turkey, underfloor heating systems are developing in harmony with technology. The fact that underfloor heating systems are an efficient method, that they offer low costs, and that they can be applied to many spaces makes it even more attractive.
The most important aspect of an underfloor heating system is that it provides a homogeneous distribution of heat. As heat is stored in building structural elements, thermal comfort is not affected much by sudden temperature changes. This system allows you to use the space more dimensionally and functionally. In addition, it works with high performance as it is a system that significantly prevents heat loss. Underfloor heating systems save energy by using water at a lower temperature than conventional heating systems. KAS company, Turkish wholesaler of underfloor heating systems.
Kayalar Group is a firm that has been producing almost all components of underfloor heating systems for many years. This will be a significant advantage for our customers as we are both the producer and the designer of this system.
Different temperature values are recommended for comfort and health in every living space in accordance with TS 2164. It is necessary to use quality materials, have good insulation, and make area-based floor heating calculations professionally in order to be able to increase the efficiency in heating systems. The KAS Therm brand was created for underfloor heating systems as a result of the professional R&D studies of KAS company.
The KAS Therm team conducts work for quality materials, quality infrastructure, and highly efficient air conditioning by closely keeping track of the constantly developing heating system techniques and technologies.
What is an Underfloor Heating System?
Underfloor heating is a central heating system that provides indoor climate control by means using conduction and convection currents. It is very advantageous in terms of thermal comfort, ergonomics, energy efficiency, and safety.
It can be applied to any location and climate if the right engineering planning is made. In the KAS underfloor heating system, heating is provided with warm water with a temperature between 30°C and 50°C. Heat distribution is homogeneous and, contrary to other heating systems, no heat accumulation takes place on the ceiling.
Once the pipes are laid, the floor is covered with screed. Subsequently, flooring can be done with materials like tiles, ceramics, and parquet. All floor coatings can be used for underfloor heating. The heat conduction of materials like marble and ceramic is higher than parquet.
Advantages of an Underfloor Heating System
Real comfort: Underfloor heating provides a comfortable feeling of warmth throughout the environment.
Economical: It provides fuel savings because it works at low temperatures.
Invisible: It provides design freedom. It provides space savings as there is no radiator.
Health and Hygiene: Underfloor heating systems reduce the circulation of pollutants in the air. They do not cause dust formation. They do not dry out the humidity of the environment and, thanks to it, they reduce the health problems caused by excessive dry air.
Safety: It is one of the safest heating systems. As the floor of a house is warm, it protects people from diseases.
Efficient Heating: As the environment begins to warm up from the ground, it warms the feet first and the temperature is homogeneous at every spot of the environment.
Compatibility: It is compatible with all alternative energy sources. It provides very economical heating with solar energy and a heat pump.
Long Life: It is a system with a longer life than conventional heating methods.
Disadvantages of an Underfloor Heating System
As an underfloor heating system works by heating a large floor area, it is a system in which it will be appropriate to operate at a certain temperature constantly instead of turning it on and off frequently.
Areas of Use of Underfloor Heating
It can be used in all places like Houses, schools, hospitals, mosques, mass housing, Turkish baths, swimming pools, greenhouses, airports, roads, etc.
Reliability of the Underfloor Heating System
No addition must be done to the heater pipes we use for underfloor heating, it is safer to use a single pipe. In areas like hallways or kitchens, it becomes cold as the floor is covered with ceramic tiles.. This problem is eliminated with underfloor heating.
